Redondo Ballet announces a new, original fairytale ballet,

Through the Pages

LOS ANGELES, September 29, 2017 – Through the Pages is an original ballet about fairy tales. These fairy tales take us on a journey with characters we know, love and some we may even fear. Our guide is a very special and magical grandmother. She entertains and entrances her four granddaughters who stay with her for one amazing weekend a year. Grandmother treats them, and us, to stories of magic and wonder that take us through the pages. “We want to bring high-concept, high-level productions to the South Bay – that encompass fabulous dancing, wonderful costumes, creative sets and beautiful music. These are stories, and an experience, that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike,” say concept creators and choreographers Francesca Stern and Donna Perkins.

The Redondo Ballet can be found at Dance 1: http://www.redondoballet.com
A state of the art dance studio that instructs a dancer in a classical ballet and classic jazz foundation on which to build a dancer’s technique and talents: Supplemented by all genres of dance that create a well-rounded, artistically beautiful and strong dancer on their way to a professional career.

The Redondo Ballet was formed with a vision to create a home for the art of dance in the South Bay. We wanted to highlight the fact that there is top-notch, emerging, pre-professional talent right here in the South Bay. The company is home to young dancers (ages 6-17) who perform 2 original, professional ballets each year (Through the Pages and The Snow Queen). These ballets can become a tradition for families each year.

Through the Pages will be performed November 4, 2017 at 3:00pm and again at 6:00pm at the Redondo Union High School Performing Arts Theater, One Sea Hawk Way, Redondo Beach.
